What we collect

lexicow has no user accounts, no sign-up, and no database. We do not collect, store, or sell personal information ourselves. You can read every page of this site without telling us anything.

Data stored on your device

The site stores two small preferences in your browser's localStorage: your chosen navigation mode (alphabetical or random) and a short history of the last words you visited, used only to make the back arrow work in random mode. This data never leaves your device, and clearing your browser data removes it completely.

Advertising and cookies

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on this site. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads. Google's use of advertising cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.

We do not run our own analytics or tracking scripts. Our hosting provider (Vercel) may record standard, anonymized server logs (such as request timestamps and truncated IP addresses) for security and operational purposes.

This site is an educational reference suitable for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
